My role is capable and dedicated as District Coordinator to provide essential support in the execution of Early Childhood Education (ECE) classroom construction projects across 25 districts of KP including NMDs. The District Coordinator works closely with the Project Manager to ensure the seamless planning, implementation, and completion of ECE classroom construction projects. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
Under the direction of the PRCS Program Manager the Community Development Officer (CDO) is responsible for field level implementation, coordination and facilitation of the project activities in the respective communities and to ensure the involvement of the most vulnerable in those Activities.
Overall supervise the field office in UC Kalam at District Swat & UC Rishun, UC Gohkir at District Chitral.
•Prepare and organize training for community volunteers and project teams; contribute to the detailed activities plan with team.
•Timely process the information/data and conduct coaching for teams on the analysis of the processed data; provide technical guidance and supervision to the team and to monitor the progress and quality of the different project activities.
•Work directly with community organization (CO) members to facilitate the implementation of community projects and design of sustainable strategies for operation and maintenance of resulting services.
•Work to expand or strengthen partnerships and cooperation between COs and other stakeholders in the project area for the implementation of local community projects and to have local needs, priorities and initiatives are well integrated
•Assist the Program manager to establish close coordination and cooperation with district line agencies and authorities, and between local project partners, communities, project beneficiaries and other stakeholders for the effective delivery of project activities and policy influence at local level
•Identify, prioritize and support communities to implement potential DRR strategies that are less sensitive to existing and potential hazards and more resilient to disasters
•Provide trainings for target communities to develop skills and capacities for disaster risk management projects and viable options for resilience.
•Facilitate the project staff and target communities to establish/strengthen “Community Organizations” and ensure a strong coordination mechanism throughout the project duration
•Provide target communities with technical support to identify, prioritize and plan activities to increase their preparedness (including infrastructural activities in coordination with the project site engineer)
•Facilitate target communities to develop and implement Village and school Disaster management plans
•Conduct and/or monitor trainings, mock drills/simulation exercises and awareness activities in the targeted communities
•Ensure proactive involvement of the target communities in the project activities (including CDRT formation/trainings, advocacy, awareness sessions, DRR & CBHFA sessions etc.)
•Focus on, and ensure the participation and inclusion of women and PWD in the project activities
•Prepare and compile village, UC and school level disaster preparedness plans
•Contribute to implement PRCS emergency response activities in case of any disaster as and when required.
•Preparation of weekly and monthly work and activity plans in coordination with the project management in Districts and PHQ
•Report any delays and challenges within weekly POAs to line management in Districts & PHQ
•Develop monthly narrative reports on all activities in line with the POA
•Ensure proper documentation of all activities within the target communities
•Obtain, consolidate and report feedback from the target communities to the project management in Districts & PHQ
•Identify and report success stories, best practices and lessons learned
As a District School Safety Officer my role and responsibilities are;
Provision of technical support to the field staff for assessments, planning and smooth implementation of SSP activities as per project plan. Providence of technical support to FOs, SSCs, JYCs, and ERTs for the development ofÃÂ school safety plan. Providence technical support to the school safety committee and the field officers in formulation of school evacuation plans. Ensure periodic monitoring of all SSP activities in district. Provide quality reports including activity reports, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on PRCS Standard Reporting System (SRS) formats as per agreed deadlines. Responsible to follow up of key challenges, suggested solutions and case studies reflecting good practices on regular basis. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual project implementation plans in close collaboration with the field staff. Ensure timely submission of expenditure details along with complete required documentations for finance settlement. Develop sessions plans with technical support of senior school safety officer on School Safety and facilitate evacuation drills and simulation exercises to school children, teachers and school safety committees. Take lead in conducting baseline assessment at district level. Facilitate internal and external visits to the district. Maintain database of JYCs, SSCs and ERTs and will update it as per need. Develop and maintain close coordination with District Administration, Education department, I/NGOs and other relevant stakeholders. Keeping record of school safety kits and hygiene kits at district level and will be responsible of disseminating the kits to schools and students. Ensure participation in regular coordination meetings at district level and provide updates on PRCS SSP activities and seek support where needed. Oversee and ensure the project activities are aligned with the agreed exit strategy leading towards sustainability of program interventions.
As District Program Officer lead all programs operations and reporting at district level, in coordination with District Administration, lead the process of effective participation of community ensuring inclusion of vulnerable group.
Coordinate project planning and implementation with technical support from Technical team members and community leaders.
